{"id":48,"date":"2026-03-30T09:05:40","date_gmt":"2026-03-30T14:05:40","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/projects.511wi.gov\/59waukesha\/?page_id=48"},"modified":"2026-08-18T16:15:26","modified_gmt":"2026-08-18T21:15:26","slug":"project-updates","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/projects.511wi.gov\/59waukesha\/project-updates\/","title":{"rendered":"Project Updates"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>8\/18\/2026:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Phase 2 road construction began on Monday, June 8<sup>th<\/sup> and will last into the fall.\u00a0 Phase 2 is the segment between Eagle and the WIS 83 roundabout. <\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Traffic Updates<\/strong> <strong>\u2013 Week of 8\/17\/2026<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The segment between Eagle and WIS 83 remains \u201cRoad Closed to Thru Traffic\u201d.\u00a0 \u00a0<strong>Local access will be maintained for residents and businesses in the closed area<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>The paving crew continues utilizing flaggers to direct traffic around the paving train.<\/li>\n<li>Flaggers from WSOR Railroad will be onsite tomorrow and Thursday for the road work near the crossing.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Construction Updates \u2013 Week of 8\/17\/2026<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The paving crew continues to pave the surface layer between Eagle and North Prairie.<\/li>\n<li>The milling crew will return to work in the area adjacent to the WSOR Railroad tracks on the west end of North Prairie tomorrow, 8\/19\/2026.<\/li>\n<li>Paving of the surface layer in North Prairie will be done on 8\/19 and 8\/20.<\/li>\n<li>The surface layer in Eagle will be paved at night, starting this Friday 8\/21\/2026 around 8:00 pm.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Surface paving work will begin in North Prairie tomorrow.\u00a0 The contractor plans to pave the westbound lane from the eastern edge of the village and work towards the railroad crossing.\u00a0 On Thursday they will pave the eastbound lane from the tracks to the east.\u00a0 No driveways will be paved during that time, just the main roadway.\u00a0 Side road connections and driveways will be done next week.\u00a0 A separate crew will begin side road and turn lanes in the Eagle area and work to the east tomorrow.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>The surface layer will also be paved in Eagle on Friday night.\u00a0 Due to the heavy traffic and complexity of the intersection of WIS 67, WIS 59 and Partridge Street, the contractor has elected to do this work at night.\u00a0 Be aware that there will be back up alarms coming the dump trucks and equipment.\u00a0 The paving is scheduled to begin around 8:00 pm and should be complete by 6:00 am.\u00a0 <\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>The project strongly suggests drivers use alternate routes when the contractor is paving through Eagle or North Prairie.\u00a0 \u00a0 <\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Expect long waits at flaggers if you drive through the work zones in North Prairie or Eagle.\u00a0 Only Emergency vehicles will be allowed to immediately pass through. <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>All paving work is expected to be completed by Labor Day.\u00a0 Pavement markings, shoulder gravel and signage will be installed in September.\u00a0 It is anticipated that all project work in North Prairie will be completed, including operating traffic signals at County E, when the Fall Harvest Festival Parade takes place on Sunday, September 20<sup>th<\/sup>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>8\/18\/2026: Phase 2 road construction began on Monday, June 8th and will last into the fall.\u00a0 Phase 2 is the segment between Eagle and the WIS 83 roundabout.
