Website for reference only.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The construction website details the scope, schedule, and traffic impacts for THREE projects in Outagamie County that began in 2024 and will end in late 2025.<\/p>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: center\"><strong>PROJECTS AND LOCATIONS<\/strong><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>WIS 54 Resurfacing:<\/strong> 8.8 miles of WIS 54 between the town of Liberty just west of House Road and Park Avenue in the village of Shiocton, Outagamie County\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/wisconsindot.gov\/Documents\/projects\/by-region\/ne\/54wcloutag\/54gmap.pdf\">View WIS 54 project limits on a map<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><strong>WIS 47 Urban Resurfacing:\u00a0<\/strong> 0.5 miles on WIS 47 from County B to Burdick Street in the village of Black Creek, Outagamie County.\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/projects.511wi.gov\/5447combined\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/1196\/47urbanmap.pdf\">WIS 47 urban project limits map<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><strong>WIS 47 Rural Resurfacing:<\/strong> 8.1 miles of WIS 47 from Burdick Street in the village of Black Creek to the north Outagamie County line in the town of Cicero, Outagamie County.\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/wisconsindot.gov\/Documents\/projects\/by-region\/ne\/47blackcreek\/47map.pdf\">View WIS 47 rural project limits on a map<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: center\"><strong>WIS 54 RESURFACING\u00a0<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>This is a resurfacing-level improvement with replacement of two structures and various pipe culverts. Box culvert structure replacement locations are noted on the exhibit below by the structure number on the exhibit. Culvert replacements are noted on the detour route maps. Project improvements for WIS 54 include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Mill 4&#8243; and overlay 4&#8243; of the existing asphalt pavement<\/li>\n<li>Replacement of box culvert (C-44-1020) in Shiocton<\/li>\n<li>Replacement of a wingwall on box culvert (C-44-0053) in Liberty\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/wisconsindot.gov\/Documents\/projects\/by-region\/ne\/54wcloutag\/54displaylocate.pdf\">View box culvert locations in map<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Replacement of various culvert pipes<\/li>\n<li>Widen paved shoulders from 3\u2019 to 5\u2019<\/li>\n<li>Spot replacement of storm sewer<\/li>\n<li>Replace various guardrail<\/li>\n<li>Spot repair of curb and gutter as needed<\/li>\n<li>Addition of centerline and shoulder rumble strips<\/li>\n<li>Replacement of curb ramps within the village of Shiocton<\/li>\n<li>Pavement marking<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>WIS 54 schedule and traffic impacts for 2025<a href=\"http:\/\/projects.511wi.gov\/5447combined\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/1196\/c441020det54.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-27 alignright\" src=\"http:\/\/projects.511wi.gov\/5447combined\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/1196\/c441020det54.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"466\" height=\"308\" srcset=\"https:\/\/projects.511wi.gov\/5447combined\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/1196\/c441020det54.jpg 586w, https:\/\/projects.511wi.gov\/5447combined\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/1196\/c441020det54-300x199.jpg 300w, https:\/\/projects.511wi.gov\/5447combined\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/1196\/c441020det54-500x331.jpg 500w, https:\/\/projects.511wi.gov\/5447combined\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/1196\/c441020det54-128x85.jpg 128w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 466px) 100vw, 466px\" \/><\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Construction resumes on April 7, 2025, with road closures beginning in May 2025. Work is expected to finish in late August 2025. Replacement of culvert C-44-1020 in Shiocton is expected to take approximately 60 days and will require a full closure.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>WIS 54 will be closed to through traffic.\n<ul>\n<li><strong>This 60-day closure begins June 16, 2025 and is expected to finish in late August.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Access to businesses and properties in the detoured portion of the highway will be maintained.\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Detour:<\/strong> Traffic will be directed to use WIS 76, County S and County M.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/wisconsindot.gov\/Documents\/projects\/by-region\/ne\/54wcloutag\/54bothdetours.pdf\">View both detour routes in map<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>WIS 54 will remain open during resurfacing using single lane closures and flagging operations.<\/p>\n<p><strong>WIS 187 two-day closure<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>WIS 187 will be closed at the WIS 54 intersection beginning Monday, April 28 through the end of the day on Tuesday, April 29.<\/li>\n<li>No detour will be provided.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: center\"><strong>WIS 47 URBAN RESURFACING<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Most of this work finished in 2024. Urban resurfacing of WIS 47 from County B to Burdick Street in the village of Black Creek in Outagamie County. Improvements include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Mill\/overlay of the existing pavement<\/li>\n<li>Replacement of curb ramps for Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) compliance<\/li>\n<li>Miscellaneous storm sewer repair<\/li>\n<li>Pavement markings\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/wisconsindot.gov\/Documents\/projects\/by-region\/ne\/47blackcreek\/47display1.pdf\">View WIS 47 Urban Resurfacing exhibit<\/a> (PDF)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>WIS 47 urban schedule and traffic impacts<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Construction began September 2024 with a 30-day closure. This closure is complete. Work continues in 2025 with no full closures.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Temporary business signing<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>If business access is impacted by a closure or detour, temporary business signing may be placed by filling out a WisDOT business signing permit. All temporary business signing needs approval via the permit before placement to ensure it is in a safe location and does not pose a visual distraction or traffic hazard. The temporary business signing permit is free.
