{"id":12,"date":"2026-01-14T13:11:44","date_gmt":"2026-01-14T19:11:44","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/projects.511wi.gov\/45resurface\/full-project-overview\/"},"modified":"2026-05-13T14:57:49","modified_gmt":"2026-05-13T19:57:49","slug":"full-project-overview","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/projects.511wi.gov\/45resurface\/full-project-overview\/","title":{"rendered":"Project Details"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>This WisDOT project will make various improvements to approximately 2.7 miles of US 45 (124th Street), between WIS 20 and County K, in Racine County.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Project Improvements:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The purpose of this project is to address the deteriorating pavement condition and fix drainage issues. Work will include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Resurface US 45 within project limits (mill 2.5 inches of existing asphalt and replace with 3.5 inches of new asphalt)<\/li>\n<li>Base patching and joint crack repair<\/li>\n<li>Install storm sewer near northbound US 45 and County K to improve drainage<\/li>\n<li>Remove two retaining walls on the northern end of the project and regrade the area<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Traffic Impacts:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>US 45 (124th Street) will be closed to through traffic during construction.
