Extending these routine overnight closures into the morning hours over the next few weekends will allow crews to conduct expedited storm sewer work, paving operations, and place traffic into its final configuration. This work will be completed over five weekends. Each weekend closure will only affect one direction of travel, either northbound or southbound. Extended lane closures will be in place until 10 a.m. on Saturday and Sunday mornings.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Weekend 1<\/strong>: <strong>Friday, May 2 \u2013 Sunday, May 4<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Work to be completed:<\/strong> Storm sewer crossings <strong>I-43 <u>northbound<\/u> extended overnight closures between North Avenue and Fiebrantz Avenue<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Friday, May 2:<\/strong> 11 p.m. \u2013 7 a.m., I-43 northbound will be fully closed from North Avenue to Fiebrantz Avenue<\/li>\n<li><strong>Saturday, May 3<\/strong>: 10 p.m. \u2013 8 a.m., I-43 northbound will be closed from Keefe Avenue to Fiebrantz Avenue\n<ul>\n<li>Following the full closure, I-43 northbound between Center Street and Fiebrantz Avenue will be reduced to one lane from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. on Sunday morning.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><strong>Detour: <\/strong>\u00a0Keefe Avenue, Martin Luther King Jr. Drive, Green Bay Avenue (WIS 57), Silver Spring Drive, and Port Washington Road.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Weekend 2<\/strong>: <strong>Friday, May 16 \u2013 Sunday, May 18<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Work to be completed:<\/strong> Final paving operations and high friction surface treatment on <strong>I-43 southbound between Capitol Drive and Keefe Avenue<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Friday, May 16<\/strong> (10 p.m. \u2013 7 a.m.) I-43 SB full freeway closure from Silver Spring Drive to Fond du Lac Avenue (WIS 145)\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Saturday, May 17<\/strong> (7 a.m. \u2013 10 a.m.) I-43 SB double right lane closure from Capitol Drive to Keefe Avenue<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><strong>Saturday, May 17<\/strong> (10 p.m. \u2013 7 a.m) I-43 SB full freeway closure from Silver Spring Drive to Fond du Lac Avenue (WIS 145)\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Sunday, May 18<\/strong> (7 a.m. \u2013 10 a.m.) I-43 SB double right lane closure from Capitol Drive to Keefe Avenue<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Detour: Silver Spring Drive, Green Bay Avenue (WIS 57), Capitol Drive, 27th Street, Fond du Lac Avenue, I-43 SB<\/li>\n<li>Traffic will be in permanent configuration between Capitol Drive and Keefe Avenue by Sunday morning.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Weekend 2<\/strong>: <strong>Friday, May 30 \u2013 Sunday, June 1<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Work to be completed:<\/strong> Final paving operations and high friction surface treatment on <strong>I-43 southbound\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Friday, May 30<\/strong>\u00a0(10 p.m. \u2013 7 a.m.) I-43 SB full freeway closure from Capitol Drive (WIS 190)\u00a0 to Fond du Lac Avenue (WIS 145)\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Saturday, May 31<\/strong> (7 a.m. \u2013 10 a.m.) I-43 SB double right lane closure from Keefe Avenue to North Avenue<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><strong>Saturday, May 31<\/strong> (10 p.m. \u2013 7 a.m) I-43 SB full freeway closure from Capitol Drive (WIS 190)\u00a0 to Fond du Lac Avenue (WIS 145)\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Sunday, June 1<\/strong> (7 a.m. \u2013 10 a.m.) I-43 SB double right lane closure from Keefe Avenue to North Avenue<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Detour:\u00a0 Green Bay Avenue (WIS 57), Capitol Drive (WIS 190), 27th Street, Fond du Lac Avenue (WIS 145), I-43 SB<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The I-43 Brown to Capitol project will have upcoming extended overnight closures along I-43.
