Scope of Work

Crowbar Road Bridge over I-43

  • NOW OPEN!
    • Crews have replaced the existing bridge deck.

I-43 and Racine Avenue Interchange

  • COMPLETED
    • Lighting within the interchange was upgraded.

I-43 Structures over Calhoun Road

  • COMPLETED
    • Work included the application of a polymer overlay to the bridge deck that quickly develops a high tensile strength sealant to protect and extend the life of the bridges.

I-43 and Moorland Road Interchange

  • COMPLETED
    • Lighting within the interchange was upgraded.

Sunnyslope Road over I-43

  • Sunnyslope Road closed in the middle of June through late 2018 to replace the existing structure. To safely implement this work, off-peak lane closures will be needed along I-43. Southbound Sunnyslope Road traffic will utilize westbound National Avenue (County ES) to southbound Moorland Road (County O) to eastbound Beloit Road (County I) back to Sunnyslope Road. Detour for northbound traffic is reversed.
    • DETOUR: National Avenue (County ES), Moorland Road (County O), and Beloit Road (County I).

I-43 Structures over Beloit Road

  • COMPLETED
    • Work included the application of a polymer overlay to the bridge deck that quickly develops a high tensile strength sealant to protect and extend the life of the bridges.

I-43 Closures

Due to construction activity taking place on structures along I-43, off-peak travel time lane closures, as well as some overnight full freeway closures, are required.
