Waukesha County

Project Overview

Project location

I-41/US 45 mainline and ramps near Main Street, village of Menomonee Falls, in Waukesha County

Improvements

The project centers around replacing a small bridge on both the I-41/US 45 southbound entrance ramp and on the I-41/US 45 mainline. Associated work will involve replacement of storm sewer, concrete barrier and beam guard, along with new lighting, signing and pavement marking.

Traffic impacts

  • (NEW) – Beginning March 5, the northbound I-41/US 45 exit ramp to east Main Street will be closed. This ramp is expected to be closed until mid-June.
  • The adjacent interchanges are scheduled to remain open during this Main Street ramp closure. The official detour is making use of the interchange to the south (WIS 145) by way of Main Street (WIS 100/Brown Deer Road). The interchange to the north (Pilgrim Road Interchange) will remain an unsigned, alternate route.
  • No lane closures will be scheduled during peak times.
