Other project improvements include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Repair several (17) bridge structures within the Hale Interchange<\/li>\n<li>Concrete base patching<\/li>\n<li>Repair the Hales Corners Park and Ride lot<\/li>\n<li>Reapply high friction surface treatment to interchange curves<\/li>\n<li>Replace guardrail<\/li>\n<li>Replace existing curb ramps to meet ADA standards<\/li>\n<li>Signal and light upgrades<\/li>\n<li>Ramp improvements<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Traffic Impacts<\/h3>\n<p><strong>Full, directional closures<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>WisDOT is planning four full, directional closures of I-41\/43\/894 though the Hale Interchange in mid-September and early October. View closure details below:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.statuscode200.com\/cms5\/uploads\/NB_54_Hour_Closures_2_c95b24916c.png\">Upcoming 54-hour full, directional closures (northbound)<\/a>\n<ul>\n<li>Note: The second weekend closure (September 19-22) was postponed until September 26-29 due to weather.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.statuscode200.com\/cms5\/uploads\/SB_54_Hour_Closures_1_42d7f2f350.png\">Upcoming 54-hour full, directional closures (southbound)<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Long-term system ramp closures for Hale Interchange bridge improvements.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Northbound to eastbound system ramp in the Hale Interchange to be closed until early November 2025 for bridge work.<\/li>\n<li>Westbound to southbound system ramp in the Hale Interchange to be closed until early November 2025 for bridge work.\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/projects.511wi.gov\/41hale\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/1350\/251013_Airport-Freeway_System-Ramp-Closures_NO-REMINDER-ICON-scaled.png\">View system ramp closure information and detours<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Two-way traffic along I-41\/43\/894 will be maintained during this project. Resurfacing work will be completed mainly during overnight hours.<\/p>\n<p>Overnight full freeway, lane, and ramp closures are expected.<\/p>\n<p>Local roads adjacent to the ramps being repairs may require lane closures, but will remain open to traffic.<\/p>\n<p>The Hales Corners Park and Ride lot will remain open for partial use during construction, as well as the MCTS Route 55 located within the lot.<\/p>\n<h3>Schedule<\/h3>\n<p>This project is scheduled to being in late May 2025 and be completed by late 2026.
