{"id":62,"date":"2026-08-25T11:13:43","date_gmt":"2026-08-25T16:13:43","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/projects.511wi.gov\/164resurfacing\/?page_id=62"},"modified":"2026-10-05T16:26:27","modified_gmt":"2026-10-05T21:26:27","slug":"project-updates","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/projects.511wi.gov\/164resurfacing\/project-updates\/","title":{"rendered":"Project Updates"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2>September 17, 2026<\/h2>\n<p>Construction activities on the <strong>WIS\u00a0164 improvement project between Swan Road and Silver Spring Road<\/strong> are ongoing.\u00a0 The project just performed a traffic switch putting traffic on the outside milled surface, and current lane configuration will remain in place until October 5<sup>th<\/sup>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Completed Work Activities<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Traffic switch completed on 9\/16\/26<\/li>\n<li>The first of four traffic stages of work for this year.<\/li>\n<li>Replaced pedestrian ramps at Costco\/Temple, and one at Chesterwood.<\/li>\n<li>Added temporary traffic signals at Swan Road.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Upcoming Work Activities<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Milling of 4-inches of existing asphalt pavement along WIS 164 within the closed work zone (inside lanes)<\/li>\n<li>General excavation activities at Swan Rd and Costco<\/li>\n<li>Begin installing components for new signals at Swan Rd.<\/li>\n<li>Install loop detection at Costco and Swan Rd.<\/li>\n<li>Asphalt paving<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Traffic Impacts<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Traffic will remain open through the outside lanes; however, motorists should expect lane shifts, reduced traffic speeds, and occasional delays throughout the project. Please use caution when traveling through the construction area and follow all posted signs and traffic control devices.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Work Hours<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Construction crews are scheduled to work:<\/p>\n<p><strong>Monday through Friday<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>7:00 AM to 7:00 PM<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Work schedules are weather dependent and subject to change.<\/p>\n<p>We appreciate the public&#8217;s patience and cooperation as improvements to the WIS 164 corridor continue.
