Posted: November 4, 2014
To keep you informed and involved, the Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) has scheduled a Public Involvement Meeting to present an update on the Central segment of the I-39/90 Expansion Project. The Central segment extends from the Dane/Rock County line to County O, just south of Janesville.
When: Tuesday, November 18, 5 p.m. - 7 p.m. (brief presentation at 5:30 p.m.)
Where: Holiday Inn Express, 3100 Wellington Place, Janesville, WI 53546
In the Central segment, the project will expand the Interstate to eight (8) lanes from County O to the WIS 26 interchange and to six (6) lanes from WIS 26 to the Dane/Rock County line. Interchanges to be reconstructed include WIS 11 (Racine Street) (construction complete), US 14, WIS 26 and WIS 59. The interchange designs will be shown, along with more detail on the proposed noise walls in Janesville.
The public is encouraged to attend the meeting, provide input, and ask questions regarding this project. Exhibits showing the proposed improvements will be on display. WisDOT representatives will be available to discuss the project on an individual basis.
